75th Anniversary of D Day - Horsa Glider

I started this model a long time back without any thought of it being assembled in time for the 75th anniversary of D Day. Various things happened and it got shelved, along with every other hobby activity, until a month or so ago when I decided that I should drag myself back to the model. At that point I noticed the significance of June 6th this year and it occurred to me that this would be a wonderful target for completing the model and more than that I could make a display piece to actively commemorate the brave men and women who fought and died to defeat Nazism.

And so here it is; completed yesterday (the final wash and highlight on the figures that represent the two pilots, Staff Sergeant Oliver Boland and [Staff?] Sergeant Hobbs) and photographed this morning on the 75th anniversary of D Day.
